The Mumbai Metropolitan Region is witnessing intense summer heat, with Thane expected to emerge as one of the hottest areas in the region today. According to weather updates, temperatures in Thane could soar up to 41 degrees Celsius, creating heatwave-like conditions across the city.
Mumbai, which recorded temperatures around 30 to 31 degrees during the morning hours, is likely to reach nearly 33 degrees Celsius later in the day. Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai is also experiencing rising temperatures, with daytime highs expected to remain around 31 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Humidity Making Weather More Uncomfortable
Apart from soaring temperatures, high humidity levels are making the weather feel even more unbearable. Humidity across Thane, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai is currently ranging between 64% and 79%, significantly increasing the “feels like” temperature to nearly 35 to 36 degrees Celsius in several areas.
Residents across the region are experiencing sticky and uncomfortable weather conditions since early morning hours. The combination of heat and humidity has reduced outdoor comfort levels, especially during afternoon hours.
Clear Skies & Continuous Sunshine Add To Heat
Weather conditions across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region remain mostly clear, with uninterrupted sunshine throughout the day. The absence of cloud cover has intensified heating, while light winds moving at around 11 to 13 kmph are not providing much relief from the rising temperatures.
Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours, and take necessary precautions while stepping outdoors.
The ongoing weather pattern has raised concerns about prolonged heatwave-like conditions across Thane, Mumbai, and nearby regions as summer continues to intensify.
